We love this ride and collect anything related to it. We have been putting together the research necessary to build a model of it since 1999. We have just begun construction although it is slow going for now. We plan to build a 7 foot by 7 foot model in HO scale but with N gauge track (HOn30) to simulate the narrow-gauge layout of the original.
We also have our little 7.5-inch gauge train, as of September 2005, which we call the New Nature's Wonderland Railroad. We have picture galleries of the train here. We hope to build mine cars for it eventually and also have a more accurate reproduction of the locomotive in the future but this little electric train is a good start.
We are always looking for more information; memories of the ride; pictures, films or audio clips from it; and, of course, collectibles or parts from the ride or the nearby Mineral Hall (another fascination for us). Please contact us if you wish to share any of the above with us. |

The Stratemeyer Syndicate was a "book packager" established in 1905 to supply publishers with juvenile and adult books in series. It was the brainchild of Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930) who was a writer and editor of juvenile stories.
The Stratemeyer.org site is devoted to information about the creator of Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, Tom Swift, the Bobbsey Twins, the Rover Boys and many other juvenile series book characters. |
Do you like to read books with Time Travel in them? If so, this searchable database will help you find more of them. There are over 3,000 books entered so far and more are being added all the time. You can search by title, author, method of time travel, people met on the journey, etc. If you want to find books where someone travels back to the Civil War, search for them here! |
Interested in children's series books? Don't know where to get more information about your favorite author, illustrator, series, or character? There are many good references out there but some remain relatively little known.
Another problem was that there was no way to know which issues of the magazine have the info you want--until now! I have indexed many of the references you might need to find info on juvenile series books to make it easier for you to do your research.
